Because It’s Not In The Constitution, That’s Why

Amendment XV, Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

Amendment XIX The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Amendment XXIV, Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.

Amendment XXVI, Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

I am not a racist. I am not anti-immigrant. I do not seek to disenfranchise anyone.Every person in the United States of America who is 18 years old or older and a citizen of this country has the right to vote. Allowing non-citizens to vote is unconstitutional and should not be allowed…period. Allowing one to vote using the name of a dead person is fraud. Allowing felons to vote is is not permitted in most states but that is an discussion for another time.

The left likes to play fast and loose with the Constitution. A good example is separation of church and state. It doesn’t exist in the Constitution or in any founding document. It is a myth…a lie. But they keep shouting from the rooftops and witless bureaucrats and allied politicians listen. On the other hand, actual amendments (listed above) pertaining to voting they choose to ignore. What jumps out at you in each amendment? The right of the citizen…the citizen. You MUST be a citizen of the United States to vote.

Voter ID protects the legitimate voters. If non-citizens, people who do not have the right to vote, cancel out our legitimate votes…who is being disenfranchised then? You and me.

Eric Holder of Fast and Furious infamy is trying to protect their little voting scheme. He is currently suing the State of Florida to stop the purging of non-citizen’s names from the voter roles. There could be as many as 180,000 non-citizens registered to vote in Florida.  Don’t think that’s a problem? Bush won Florida by a mere 537 votes. It’s a problem…a huge problem. And it’s a problem Obama and Holder are in no hurry to solve. Fast and Furious with guns to dangerous drug cartels and fast and loose with the Constitution. – Lew –
