Speaking on behalf of the president, deputy national security adviser Denis McDonough said on Sunday, “Being religious is never un-American. Being religious is quintessentially American.” That was the administration’s response to Representative Peter King’s hearings on radical Islam. I concur…being religious is quintessentially American. On the other hand, flying jet airliners loaded to capacity with passengers and fuel into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon killing over 3000 innocent civilians is not. Neither is blowing up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City killing 168 and injuring 680, or attempting to blow up the U.S.S. Cole killing 17 sailors and wounding 39, or blowing up the American Marines barracks in Beirut killing 241 American servicemen, or killing 13 U.S. soldiers and wounding 29 others at . That is quintessentially radical Islam.
The president of the United States has a Constitutional duty to protect this country from all enemies foreign and domestic. The question is, who does Barack Hussein Obama consider to be the enemy?
