Barack “Barry” Obama a centrist? LMFAO! Barack “Barry” Obama Reaganesque? ROTFLMFAO! The folks at Time Magazine must be sniffing the Sharpies again. Barry isn’t qualified to fill Ronald Reagan’s Jelly Belly jar.
If Barry is channeling anyone it’s Al Gore trying to channel Ronald Reagan In one of the debates with George W. Bush, Mr. Gore had a makeup artist give him a “Reaganesque” appearance. Gore even tried to mimic Reagan’s mannerisms and speech. That was the moment I realized that Al Gore was mentally unstable. His performance that night was reminiscent of “Teddy Roosevelt” Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace.
If I was to compare Barack “Barry” Obama to a past president, it would be Woodrow Wilson or perhaps Jimmy Carter. But Ronald Reagan…please. Even Barry was trying to conjure up the memory of a past president in his SOTU address, namely JFK. But, alas, Barry is no Jack Kennedy. Obama’s “Sputnik” moment sputtered.
Time Magazine would need Obi Wan Kenobi and the power of the Force to get anyone to believe this rubbish. Or perhaps just a readership comprised of college age kids who don’t know who Obi Wan Kenobi, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Jack Kennedy, Woodrow Wilson, or Teddy Roosevelt are. – Lew –
“Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them’” – Ronald Reagan –
“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” – Ronald Reagan –
“The federal government has taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the states, and too much liberty with the Constitution.” – Ronald Reagan –
“Extreme taxation, excessive controls, oppressive government competition with business, frustrated minorities and forgotten Americans are not the products of free enterprise. They are the residue of centralized bureaucracy, of government by a self-anointed elite.” – Ronald Reagan –
“Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem.” – Ronald Reagan –

“Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.” – Barack Obama, 2011 –
“I am committed to protecting this constitutional right. I also remain committed to policies, initiatives, and programs that help prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant women and mothers, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.” – Barack Obama, 2011 –
Obama made the above remarks as he celebrated the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Of course, he didn’t mention that 50 million unborn babies have been aborted since that decision. His statement that government should not intrude on private family matters is laughable since his administration is pushing for government control of every aspect of our lives. By the way, abortion is not a constitutional right and it is not government policies, initiatives, or programs that prevent “unintended” pregnancy. Abstinence prevents pregnancy and it works every time it’s tried. Perhaps Barry needs a junior high school health and hygiene refresher course. – Lew –
